Jelly Belly Candy Company is Hiring a Programmer Analyst Near Fairfield, CA

Summary: Analyzes, tests and maintains software applications to support our business requirements. This includes writing, coding, and analyzing software programs and applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop and support stored procedures, Reporting Services reports, and application interfaces using SQL, other languages, and tools.
  • Analyze and update application data based on user and business needs.
  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs.
  • Support and troubleshoot business application (ERP) user issues.
  • Develop or modify programs based on description of user needs.
  • Present proposed application projects to management, code, implement and manage customizations.
  • Create technical-oriented documentation.
  • Consults with internal customers to gather information about solution needs, objectives, functions, features, and input and output requirements.
  • Analyzes, defines, and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs.
  • Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm solutions meet specifications.
  • Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about solutions.
  • Monitors performance of programs after implementation.

Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or minimum 4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Functional ERP business process concepts

Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication qualities. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.

Mathematical Skills Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills

  • Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL, complex SQL coding, Reporting Services, and Integration Services.
  • At least one programming language such as Visual Basic.
